Agency – Argentina star Lionel Messi will join the Argentina team for the World Cup qualifier against Bolivia. But it is not clear whether he will play against Bolivia. It will not be surprising if he enters the field from the bench in the match against Bolivia.
Speaking to reporters before the game against Bolivia, Argentina coach Lionel Scaloni said that he was replaced after he was tired in the game against Ecuador.
“Leo was tired the other day and asked to be substituted. But it’s not needed that we speak to him before matches. We see as it goes.,” Scaloni said while talking to reporters.
Scaloni said that only before the game against Bolivia will he decide whether Messi will play or not. Scaloni also revealed that he plans to field the same team against Bolivia as he did against Ecuador.
Scaloni said, “Messi is going to travel to Bolivia. Today he trained differently, but there are still 2 days left until the game and we will make the decision tomorrow whether he plays or not. The team is going to be similar to the one that played against Ecuador..”
In the first match of the World Cup qualifiers, Argentina won against Ecuador. Messi scored in that match and his goal was decisive.
