Agency – French club Paris Saint Germain (PSG) has to go through a difficult path to enter the knockout stage of the Champions League. PSG will have to go through a tough road to reach the knockout stage as they have been placed in a difficult group from the Champions League draw held on Thursday.
PSG is in the ‘group of death’. German club Borussia Dortmund, Italian club AC Milan and Premier League club Newcastle United are in that group. Dortmund was the runner-up in the German Bundesliga last season.
Dortmund missed out on the Bundesliga title by just a few points last season. AC Milan is also a good team. Despite finishing fourth in the Italian league, Milan reached the semi-finals of the Champions League last season.
Newcastle is also a strong team. For the past few seasons, Newcastle have been performing at a high level. Newcastle finished fourth in the Premier League last season.
PSG will certainly not find it easy to reach the knockouts. A weak performance in any of the group stage games could cost them .
